Taking youth on rafting trips down the Colorado River in Grand Canyon and San Juan river in Utah, Megan Dwyer has learned a lot about going with the flow and living a life of service. Megan served in AmeriCorps through the Youth in Action AmeriCorps program in Flagstaff, Arizona, serving at a nonprofit called Grand Canyon Youth (GCY). After service Megan was hired on full time at GCY. Her stories include her first trip on the river as a teenager, guiding teenagers in setting up their own service project to better understand homelessness, and taking unique trips down the river with youth who have lost a parent in the military as well as youth with physical disabilities.
